I've had the privilege to meet and work with some of the most incredible people all over the world. These are some of the stories I am honored to be a part of and tell.
I was honored to film and edit a part of the restoration of Evel Knievel’s one-of-a-kind motor coach, Big Red. This is the story of Big Red, from its heyday into obscurity, to the rediscovery, rescue and restoration to its original glory. This played on a loop in the Evel Knievel Museum, next to the fully restored Big Red.
It started in a small shop with a big dream. A family business that grew with love, integrity, determination and drive to become a business of family and success.
In Thailand women who are HIV positive are ostracized from society and often have very little recourse for day to day survival. Fish seems an unlikely way to change that. In the south of Thailand fresh water fish is hard to come by. We were a part of building a fish farm that can take salt water fish and desalinate them, resulting in fresh water fish. These fish can to be sold at market as a way to provide income for the women of CHAC (Center for HIV/AIDS-affected Communities).
This project served several purposes. Namely, it acted as an extension of the Evel Knievel Museum piece to tell a more in-depth story with unseen footage and more detail on the restoration process. It also acted as a vehicle for a feature film that has been in production for a couple of years and is slated for release in 2027.
CJ Hamilton is the winningest coach in Kansas history. We have followed CJ and his Silver Lake Eagles for years. See first hand what makes CJ so passionate and successful. Feel and witness the impact he has on young lives as a coach, teacher, mentor, husband, father and grandfather.
While I was shooting the various locations of Birth, Stewart & Fletcher Orthodontics, Dr. Birth asked if I could also shoot a mini doc on her team. I was in! They have such an amazing crew and I was thrilled to tell the story!
I wasn’t familiar with Seuss or his work when I was contacted about making this short doc. I was immediately impressed with his skill and who he is as a person. This project sparked a collaboration on dozens of projects and a friendship that has lasted for over 10 years.
In the aftermath of the devastating 2011 tornado in Joplin, MO. there is hope. Sometimes a shower can make all the difference in the world. I am proud to have been a part of shooting this piece.
